COOLDOG CASH DRAWS — PRIVACY POLICY
1. Responsible party

2. Information we collect
We collect only what is necessary to administer the promotional competition:
- First name
- Email address
- Mobile (WhatsApp) number
- SMS verification status (via our SMS provider iHuyi)
- Competition entries, points, check-ins, referrals and redemption records
- Marketing consent status (yes/no) and consent timestamps
3. Why we process it
- To validate entries and prevent fraud (one entry per verified person).
- To conduct the draws, notify winners and pay prizes.
- To administer the loyalty points programme.
- To send promotions — only where you separately opted in.
Competition entry does not equal marketing consent. Marketing is opt-in only and never a condition of entry.
4. Legal basis
Processing is based on your consent and on the performance of the competition terms you accept when entering, as permitted by POPIA. You may withdraw marketing consent at any time by replying STOP or contacting us; withdrawing consent does not affect your competition entry.
5. Who we share it with
- Meta / WhatsApp — message delivery and chat history.
- Secure server storage — competition database (entries, points, draws).
- iHuyi — SMS delivery for the one-time verification code.
- Professional advisers or authorities where legally required.
No personal information is sold or shared with marketers. Transfers outside South Africa (cloud providers above) are protected by contract as required by POPIA.
6. Retention
- Competition records (entries, draws, winner verification): retained for 3 years as required for promotional competition records.
- Marketing consent records: retained while active and for 3 years after withdrawal.
- SMS verification codes: stored as one-way hashes and expire automatically after 5 minutes.
7. Security
We use HTTPS transport encryption, server-side storage with restricted access, one-way hashing of verification codes, and rate limits against automated abuse.
8. Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, object to processing, and withdraw consent at any time via the contact details below. You may complain to the Information Regulator (South Africa) at inforeg.org.za.
9. Cookies and device storage
The entry page uses session storage only to keep the page usable during your visit (e.g. remembering that the age gate was passed). No advertising trackers are used.
